Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on June 13, 1986, in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania was the firstborn child of Gerald and Ellen Dennings. Ellen Dennings who is Kat's maternal grandmother is a journalist and speech therapy. The father of Kat is Gerald. Gerald is a college prof and molecular biologist. Dennings is the youngest of five children, and was brought up in a Jewish family. Dennings attended a school that did not follow the traditional curriculum and did not attend a homeschool.
