Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are three of her siblings. Stone is a gifted student in school as an infant, started her second-grade education at age five. She was a graduate of Saegertown High School, located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw her winning Miss Crawford County. Stone was moved to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt in order to take on a job as a model. In less than a month she signed up with Ford Modeling Agency. Her next move was to Europe which she was to spend a year living within Milan, Paris and other cities. Stone was disillusioned by the model industry in Europe, and chose to focus on acting instead. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews when she was 20.
