Awkwafina An American singer and actress began by releasing a humorous rap track which dealt with the subject of sexuality and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood following the release of an album of raps. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents from Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came in the form of trumpet. Also, she received the classical and jazz education later delving into hip-hop as a teenager. In the end, she focused on her education. she earned a degree in journalism in university and also a women's study degree. It wasn't until after graduating that she turned her attention towards music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included viral hits like body-positive Queef & winking home tour NYC BitcheUSD. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. Her resume included both author and musician. She was now looking for a new career path in acting. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors and Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered several notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
